Professional Commitment

As an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) I abide by their code of ethics.

As part of this membership, I attend monthly supervision and commit to at least 30 hours of continual professional development each year. This CPD commitment ensures my clinical practice and skills remain informed and up-to-date and includes training courses, workshops and research. I hold a current DBS check and am fully insured.

Qualifications

Dip.Couns. CPCAB Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling
I trained and qualified as an integrative counsellor through the CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Awarding Body),

the UK's specialist awarding body in counselling.

CPCAB Certificate in Counselling Skills

My certificate in Counselling Skills has provided me with the knowledge, skills and competencies to use counselling skills ethically and safely.

Level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic Skills and Theory
Providing a solid grounding in the CBT model, this CPCAB post qualification diploma enables me to integrate

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy into my professional practice.

Certificate in Clinical Trauma Training: Working with the Neurobiological Legacy of Trauma 

This training integrates Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. This integrative approach fosters healing from trauma by identifying traumatic triggers, repairing
deep attachment wounds, adapting harmful coping strategies and addressing overwhelming emotions such as
shame, anger, fear, anxiety and depression. 

Diploma in Online and Telephone Counselling
Mapped to the BACP's telephone and online competencies (2020), this diploma level training enables me
to work 
ethically and safely both online and on the telephone. 

Diploma in Relationship and Couples Counselling
Accredited by the ACCPH (Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists),
this professional qualification tailors an integrative approach for individuals experiencing current and/or
historic relationship problems.

Certificate in Supervision
Designed in accordance with the BACP supervision training curriculum, my Certificate in Supervision enables
me
to offer passionate integrative supervision to both trainee and qualified counsellors.

BSc. Counselling Degree
Developed in partnership with the CPCAB and the Open University, the Foundation Degree in Counselling has
added depth to my practice, enhancing my knowledge and understanding of mental health issues in areas including:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Developmental psychology: Childhood and adolescence

  • Death, dying and bereavement

  • Neurobiological and psychotherapeutic perspectives of anxiety, depression, OCD, addiction and dementia
